And the world keeps turning

When I last wrote here it was 2009 and I had recently turned 20. Now I'm in my 30s, and my life is drastically different (well, thank god for that).
I've been going through a period lately where I've become extremely nostalgic about all things LiveJournal, internet and fandom culture in the late 2000s, so here I am, dusting off this extremely dusty and almost not used journal.
I'm currently pregnant with a little girl, due in the summer, and I think a lot about what she will experience as she grows up. Will she discover fandom by herself, like I did? Will she manage to understand and filter the internet in a way that doesn't destroy her, but instead gives her life more meaning, joy and excitement? I hope so.
If anyone comes across this, hi. I don't know if I will be back, but I like to think that maybe I will.
